2 blogs no more

I've finally come to the conclusion that it's silly to have two blogs. I'm part of the Knotts family too! From now on I'll be posting all my nonsense amongst Mandy's regular family updates on our family blog:

Snowkiting - New York Times

Just thought I'd post on the newest "extreme" sport. interesting... looks cool. I'm not sure I'm into it, but then I've never really been a big fan of the wind ;-)

New Year's Day ride

New Year's Day ride

so admittedly between taking care of Travis, taking care of the house and trying to get my real estate license it's been way harder to get training this year. however rest assured I did manage to get out on New Year's Day thanks to Josh & Mary who came by to celebrate the New Year and ensure the New Year's Day ride tradition continues no matter what the weather! thanks guys!

why i didn't train on Thursday

in case you all didn't see this on the family blog, this is why I didn't get to ride on Thursday:

gut

so I finally got out on another ride today. it was a balmy 45F and the roads were clear so I went for it. of course I ended up getting rained on and even a touch of hail just for kicks so I totally ended up coming home freezing cold anyway... go figure.

anyway, I was getting dressed to go ride and I noticed it was a little harder to bend over than normal... hey what's all this fat doing on my belly?! and who put it there?! holy moly, I've got my work cut out for me this year!

I was thinking maybe I could just schedule regular liposuctions so that I don't have to change my current eating habits... what do you think? I guess it wouldn't change the fact that I gotta start getting some miles in though.
